Where the word of a king is, there is power. Ecclesiates 8:4 (KJV)

Holy Bible King James Version

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the OLD paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken. Jeremiah 6:16-17 (KJV)

Since the beginning of creation Satan has tried to cast doubt on the Word of God.  We read in the Genesis 3:1-5 account, Satan said to Eve, “Yea, hath God said?”  In other words, the devil is planting doubt by asking Eve: Did God really say that?  Did He really mean what He said?

Therefore, the trap has been set.

First is the casting of doubt…

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LordGod had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Then, comes the blatant deception by the Father of Lies…

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:1-5 (KJV)

Eve gives in and convinces Adam to do likewise, and, thus, we see the fall of man.

As Professor Gail Riplinger points out: Satan’s first point of attack was on the Word of God. His method was subtlety.

In his book The Greatest Book on Dispensational Truth in the World (pg. 113), Clarence Larkin describes it this way:

Satan is very subtle in his methods, and if it were possible he would deceive the very elect.  He knows all the great Scripture subjects that are of universal interest to humanity, and he is too wise to attack them openly, so he adulterates them with false doctrine.

To this end Satan has preachers who preach “another gospel” (Galatians 1:6-9).  That gospel is the “doctrine of devils.” (1 Timothy 4:1).  He is the instigator of the “The Great Apostasy.”  Peter, speaking of the “latter times” says –

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  2 Peter 2:1-2 (KJV)

Now, that I have set the stage, let’s dive in here…

famine in the land

So, why am I so adamant that the King James Version is the preserved Word of God?

Well, to be honest, I didn’t always believe that was the case.  I actually spent most of my life reading the “corrupt” NIV without ever questioning it…that is until the Lord quite literally grabbed a hold of me at the end of 2013 and bombarded me from all sides with evidence that there was indeed only one “preserved” Word of God, and that out of all of the 300+ versions, there can only be ONE true Word of God.  I can be stubborn at times, so the Lord tends to knock me on my head a few times until He gets through to me.  Praise God for not giving up on me!

We serve an absolutely PERFECT and HOLY God.  Likewise, due to God’s nature His Word MUST be perfect.  Why, you ask?  Because He and His Word are one.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1-14 (KJV)

I assure you the New Age Bible versions are a corruption to the Word of God.  If there were not those who would corrupt the Word of God, He would not have told us so…

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. 2 Corinthians 2:17 (KJV)

Let me tell you this much, though, the devil is certainly having a hey-day counterfeiting God’s Word and corrupting God’s communication to His people.  The good news is that it is only for an allotted season that God has permitted it, and the devil’s time is getting shorter and shorter.

It makes sense, though, does it not?  A breakdown in communications is always the final blow to any relationship, is it not?  We shouldn’t be surprised that Satan would work so vehemently to break down God’s communication to His Church.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV)

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.  2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)

You see, God is not the author (writer, if you will) of confusion (hence, endless, differing Bible versions are not of Him).

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV)

Whereas, we know that Satan is the Father of Lies…

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44 (KJV)

Okay, so back to Bible versions.  Dear friends, if you think these endless different versions of the Bible say the same thing, you are wrong.  Seriously, wrong.  I was wrong too…for far longer that I would like to admit.  You need only to line them up, open them up to the same passage, and you will find what I found…no two versions say the same thing nor do they carry the same meaning, and in many cases entire passages of Scripture are completely removed, even skipping over verse numbers. Don’t believe me? Take out your own Bible and test it for yourself.  Don’t take my word for it.

I highly recommend watching the following video by a brilliant, and, more importantly, godly professor named Gail Riplinger who wrote the book New Age Bible Versions.

As I mentioned above, no two versions say the same thing at all, and here’s the thing – there can only be one PERFECT preserved Word because God is perfect, and, likewise, His Word has been tried and perfected by Him.

As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Psalm 18:30 (KJV)

God’s Word (every single WORD) is PURE…there is no error in it.

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.  Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

And, indeed, EVERY SINGLE WORD is crucial to our spiritual survival.  Rather, we live by EVERY WORD OF GOD.  See for yourself…

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke 4:4 (KJV)

You see, beloved, God cannot lie…

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. Titus 1:1-2 (KJV)

Many Christians have been deceived for so long that they are literally looking for some way to justify whatever New Age version they have a preference to.  For example, some may ask, “Isn’t the New King James Version, okay?” The answer is, “Absolutely not!” The NKJV is a complete and utter fraud that absolutely adulterates the KJV. Check out this article for a good side by side comparison.  The adulterations only get worse and worse and more crucial to the meaning as it goes along.

To top it off, the NKJV has this mysterious mark on it:

 = Pagan & Occultic Symbol

Do you know what this mark means?  It is actually a pagan, occultic symbol.  Please read the article over HERE on the history behind this symbol.

I have NO IDEA why Christians have embraced this occultic symbolism without actually researching it, but it is NOT A GOOD THING.

All that to say, I wasn’t looking for this calling at all, but it certainly, overwhelmingly and most convincingly found me.  When God wants something to be accomplished for his kingdom, He WILL get our attention!

The Danger of the New American Standard Version

Did you know that one of the key translators of the NASB renounced this translation and spent the rest of his life traveling the country pleading with churches to return to the King James Version?

“I must under God denounce every attachment to the New American Standard Version. I’m afraid I’m in trouble with the Lord…We laid the groundwork; I wrote the format; I helped interview some of the translators; I sat with the translator; I wrote the preface. When you see the preface to the New American Standard, those are my words…it’s wrong, it’s terribly wrong; it’s frightfully wrong…I’m in trouble;…I can no longer ignore these criticisms I am hearing and I can’t refute them. The deletions are absolutely frightening…there are so many. The finest leaders that we have today haven’t gone into it [new versions of Wescott and Hort’s corrupted Greek text] just as I hadn’t gone into it…that’s how easily one can be deceived…Are we so naive that we do not suspect Satanic deception in all of this?” -Frank Logsdon

Frank Logsdon was a major player in the development of the New American Standard Bible (NASB).   He was a friend of Dewey Lockman, and was involved in a feasibility study involving purchasing the copyright of the American Standard Version (ASV) with Lockman that lead to the eventual production of the NASB.   He interviewed some of the translators for the job, and even wrote the preface to the translation.

Slowly, he became aware that there was something wrong with the NASB.  He eventually rejected it, and promoted the KJV.  This was a major defection for the modern version crowd…Below is his speech, in it’s entirety, rejecting the NASB, and endorsing the Textus Receptus and the KJV. (Source)

As a Bible believing Christian, I firmly believe that the Bible is solely sufficient in and of itself to prove my point, so let’s just walk through some of the Scripture that the Lord has directed me to.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV)

Notice the warning God is giving here.  He’s not saying if any man takes away from “the concepts” or the “general idea” or the “big picture” of the book of this prophecy.  No, He is saying, “If any man shall take away from the WORDS of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life.”  That is a scary, scary warning, and it’s also a clear warning that God has ordained each and every word in the book of the Bible.

Did you know that the King James Version is the only Bible version that is not copyrighted?  It belongs to no man!  It is God’s Word!  And, it can be redistributed freely.

The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it. Psalm 68:11 (KJV)

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV)

Well, but…don’t we have know Greek?  No, absolutely not, beloved.  You see, God wrote parts of the Bible in Aramaic, parts in Hebrew and parts in Greek, and I firmly believe that he has PRESERVED it in English – the universal language of these last days that we find ourselves in. Regarding this notion that you need to be able to read Greek to understand God’s preserved Word, that is just plain a lie from the pit of Hell. See my resources at the bottom of this page for more information on the original manuscripts.

Do you and I take God at His Word, dear friends?

If so, then know that His Word tells us that He has preserved His Word forever!  They are the pure words of God himself…there’s that word again: WORDS, which is why I now understand how serious the warning in Revelation 22:18-19 is.

The words of the LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.  Psalm 12:6,7 (KJV)

It is done. The Word of the Lord has been settled in heaven.  No new versions needed.

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89 (KJV)

Why is God’s Word so important?  Because he says it is!

The Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 2:10 KJV, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”  That’s a huge proclamation!  All things in heaven and in earth will bow at the name of Jesus, and yet did you know, that God has exalted His Word even above His own name?

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Psalm 138:2 (KJV)

God himself has magnified His Word even above His own name!

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 (KJV)

I believe that many Christians in these last days are not experiencing victory in their lives over sin, over broken heartedness, over bitterness, pride, depression and so on and so forth because they do not have the complete Word of God to fight off these mighty strongholds with.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12-13 (KJV)

Some say that the King James Bible is hard to understand, that it’s outdated, and so on, but the truth is that all it takes is a reading level education to read it, and it takes the Holy Spirit to speak to you through it.

The local Chaplin, who happens to be one of the most humble, godly men I have ever met in my life only reads the King James Bible, and he recently told me that he only has a FOURTH GRADE EDUCATION!  What excuse do the rest of us have?

If the language sounds “other-worldly” that’s because it is.  It is a supernatural book.  We keep trying to dumb it down, but when our heart is in the right place with Christ, our eyes will be opened to His Word like never before when we are armed with the King James Version.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. Luke 24:45 (KJV)

Another important note to make if you have studied the Book of Revelation (which I believe is a crucial calling for all believers), you will know that the Church of Philadelphia is the greatest Church Period in the history of the Church.  That period just so happens to be the time in history when the King James Version was translated.

The KJV was translated during the Philadelphia church period (Rev. 3:7-13). The modern versions begin to appear rather late on the scene as the lukewarm Laodicean period gets underway (Rev. 3:14-22), but the KJV was produced way back in 1611, just in time for the many great revivals (1700-1900). The Philadelphia church was the only church that did not receive a rebuke from the Lord Jesus Christ, and it was the only church that “kept” God’s word (Rev. 3:8). (Source)

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Revelation 3:8 (KJV)

To be completely honest, I have been studying the Bible my entire life, and it wasn’t until I started reading the KJV over the past year and a half, that the Lord literally dropped the veil from my eyes and gave me an understanding into Scripture like I have never experience before. Bible verse after Bible verse easily and immediately sticks into my mind when I read the KJV, which is one of the most surprising and blessed aspects of my own testimony using the KJV.

Did you know that without receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior and thus receiving His Holy Spirit, it is impossible for you to understand the Bible?  Ever wondered why the Bible never made sense to you when you had never given your life to Christ?

It is because we receive salvation when we accept it by FAITH.  God then gives us the Holy Spirit, and insight into spiritual things following that act of faith.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)

You see, the Bible is spiritually discerned.  In other words, the Holy Spirit that lives within us when we accept Christ as our Saviour reveals the spiritual things of God in His Word to us…which is also why it’s futile to debate Scripture with a non-believer.  It is literally impossible for them to understand the Word of God without the Holy Spirit.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:10-14 (KJV)

In addition to all of these passages of Scripture, I think it’s important to be reminded that there is an incredible EXCLUSIVITY to God.

For example, the Bible tells us that…

1. There is only One God and One Mediator between God and men

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV)

2. There is only One Way, One Truth, One Life

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 (KJV)

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36 (KJV)

3. There is only One Foundation

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11 (KJV)

4. There is only One Name by which we can be saved.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 (KJV)

5. Is it truly that far reaching that God would have PRESERVED One Perfect Version of the Bible as His Word tells us He has?

The words of the LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12: 6, 7 (KJV)

Further since we know that there can only be One Truth (see #2 above), and God tells us that His Word is truth; therefore, there can only be ONE PRESERVED WORD OF GOD.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17 (KJV)

6. There is One Body, One Spirit, One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, One God and One Father

4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:4-6 (KJV)

If you are that unbeliever, I pray that today would be the day of salvation for you! Come on over HERE.

I could go on and on, but I just encourage you to seek the Lord and pray over His Word that He may guide you and direct you.  Again, don’t just take my word for it, take the time to seek it for yourself.  I believe the Lord will bless you greatly for it.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33 (KJV)

For more Scripture on the Word of God, head on over and read about the Absolute Necessity of Studying Your Bible…According to the Bible.

In Christ,

Editor’s Note: As with all teachings you encounter in matters of spiritual things, including the posts you read here, I urge you with all diligence to test everything you read under the light and authority of God’s Holy Word…the King James Bible.  Open your Bible and follow along, and see for yourself what God’s Word has to say.  While I strive to be thoughtful, careful and ultimately prayerful about what I share on this site, I am still human, so should there ever be anything that isn’t in line with the Bible (which I pray doesn’t happen), then God’s Word is always right, and I am wrong.  God’s Word is the final authority in all things.
